What are Critical Areas?

​

There are five critical areas identified in Washington’s GMA:

​

• Wetlands

• Frequently Flooded Areas

• Critical Aquifer Recharge Areas

• Geologically Hazardous Areas

• Fish and Wildlife Habitat Conservation Areas
