The KCCD is funded by grants and a county assessment.....

The KCCD is funded through grants and a county assessment. The grants are obtained from a variety of sources depending on the particular activity or project needs. The last decade has seen mostly funding from the Washington Conservation Commission, the Washington Department of Ecology, and the Bonneville Power Administration. Small grants from Kittitas County Public Works, the Kittitas County Water Purveyors, the Bureau of Reclamation, and the Natural Resources Conservation Service were or are also used for projects and programs. This year, the KCCD entered into three contracts with the Salmon Recovery Funding Board.

Grants are chosen based on their ability to help implement the long range strategy of the KCCD. Staff positions are dependent on the grant funding, as is the initiation or continuation of KCCD programs and projects.
Each of the projects or programs listed below are categorized by the assistance available to landowners and natural resource managers.
